Public Notice
As an active work zone, Wingfield Park is closed to the public through the summer of 2026, weather permitting. Truckee River access is limited. Please refer to river detour maps below.

Navigate your way around construction.
Detour routes are in place for drivers, pedestrians/cyclists and river users. It is prohibited, and dangerous, to enter the work zone.
The Arlington Ave./1st St. intersection will be temporarily closed from Monday, March 23, through Monday, May 4. The closure will affect vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians. During the closure, travelers will be detoured from 1st St. to West St. (for westbound travel) or Ralston St. (for eastbound travel) to access 2nd St. Pedestrians can also use Roff Way as a detour route. A map showing the detour routes is below.
Island Ave./Arlington Ave. intersection closed to vehicle traffic until further notice. Detour via Court St. to Rainbow St. or Sierra St. to Island Ave. Westbound turn from Arlington Ave. to Island Ave. remains open.
Arlington Ave. closed between West 1st St. and Island Ave. Northbound traffic detoured to Center St. or Virginia St.; southbound traffic and pedestrians detoured to Sierra St.
